Thanks to Dreyer Farms and a little early planning, we photographed this autumnal scene the previous November when ornamental corn, gourds and pumpkins were still in season. Our publisher skillfully carved the pumpkin and with the help of a well-placed chopstick, managed to make the center of the Q look like it was floating in space.
